According to the head of state, He said he was touched by the girl’s story after she was abandoned but later rescued and taken to Ippolita Childrenโs Home for specialised treatment. Ruto, as reported by a reputable source, while taking her as one of his own, disclosed he decided to name her Cherono after his mother.
Many people were touched when they heard the story on Nadia Cherono, DP William Rutoโs adopted daughter. Nadia was born and buried somewhere in Machakos when she was only a day old. She was not ready to die. Even though she was buried and her body had started decomposing, Nadiaโs destiny was just but beginning.
She is one of the six children in the family who include Nick Ruto, June Ruto, Stephanie Ruto Charlene Chelagat Ruto and George Kimutai Ruto.
Nadia Cherono is now a bubbly, cheerful girl who seems to enjoy a very close relationship with the President, as is evident from a photo shared while they’re walking on a red carpet in Nakuru State Lodge.
