Oga Obinna has disclosed details of a phone conversation with William Ruto following the viral boxing showdown between Majembe and Mbavu Destroyer.

The high-energy bout, held at the Kasarani Indoor Arena on April 4, attracted a massive crowd and widespread online attention, turning the fighters into national talking points.
According to Obinna, the President is reviewing his schedule with plans to host the boxers, referees, and organisers at State House in recognition of their efforts in making the event successful.
The planned meeting is expected to celebrate the participants and highlight youth-driven initiatives in sports and entertainment.
Obinna urged Kenyans not to politicise the proposed State House visit, insisting that the opportunity is meant to uplift the young athletes and acknowledge their hard work rather than serve political interests.
He emphasised that everyone who stepped into the ring or contributed behind the scenes deserves recognition and support.
During the phone call, Obinna also requested additional financial support for the fighters, proposing that each boxer receive about KSh1 million as appreciation for their effort and commitment.
He further suggested that referees and officials be awarded KSh300,000 each for their role in ensuring the event ran smoothly.MSN
He described the Vurugu Bout Night as one of the biggest locally organised sporting events in the region and thanked supporters who turned up in large numbers.
Obinna also revealed that several leaders, including governors and Members of Parliament, reached out to congratulate him after the event.
