A photo of Pres William Ruto answering a phone call shortly after flying out of Nairobi and arriving in Kilifi flanked by the Orange Democratic Movement Party leader Hon Raila Odinga has gone viral.
In the photo and from the body language, the Head of State can be seen appearing to be listening keenly from the other party.
The development comes shortly after the Communication Authority of Kenya switched off all Free-To-Air media stations that were hiring live coverage of the ongoing nationwide Gen Z Protests.
The duo (Raila Odinga and Pres William Ruto) is attending the funeral service of the late Kilifi County Governor Gideon Mung’aro’s father.
Yesterday, Raila Odinga asked the Gen Zs not to provoke the police in today’s protests while the Head of State asked the police to use their resources to ensure that criminals won’t pose as protesters to invade critical infrastructures such as Parliament or State House.
