The family of 21 year old college student Caroline killed alongside Chris Msando in 2017 and their bodies dumped in a thicket in Kiambu county revealed that they were aware of her relationship with the 44 year old IEBC ICT manager.
Speaking to NTV Kenya, Caroline’s elder sister Jedidah said that the two had been love birds for close to a year before their tragic deaths.
On the fateful night, Chris Msando called Carol and told her to wait for him somewhere since he had a meeting. The two shared a strong bond and would travel from Naivasha to Nairobi from time to time.
Caroline’s mother was however oblivious to the relationship and wondered how they met when she found out after the tragic deaths.
The family decried that the government had abandoned them despite having used thousands of loan money to educate their daughter. They revealed that they had to pay loans after the burial.
According to them, the government treated them like nobodies unlike Chris Msando’s wife who was given a state job and is in a better position now.
