The education fraternity and the larger community are mourning the passing of Samuel Chemjor, a revered former principal of Moi High School Kabartonjo, Kabarnet High School, and several other institutions.

His death has left a profound void in the lives of many former students and colleagues who regarded him as a father figure for his immense contribution to their personal and professional growth.

Among those grieving is Hon. Wycliffe Kipsang Tobole, who fondly remembers Chemjor as a mentor and a transformative leader.

In his tribute, Tobole highlighted the late principal’s dedication to discipline, academic excellence, and mentorship, values that shaped countless lives.

Condolences continue to pour in for the family, particularly Chemjor’s wife, Mrs. Nancy Chemjor, principal of Pemwai Girls’ High School and a mentor to many—as well as his daughter, Ms. Janet Jeruto, and the entire extended family.

Friends, former students, and colleagues have also expressed their sorrow, celebrating a life well-lived.

Hon. Tobole joined many in urging the family to remain strong, praying that God grants them comfort during this painful time.

As the community reflects on Chemjor’s legacy, his impact on Kenya’s education sector remains unforgettable.
