Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has announced the passing of Anne Wanjiru Mumbuchi, also known as Muchiru.
In his statement, Gachagua described her as a mother, businesswoman, and community leader.
Muchiru was known for her role in mobilizing women and leading the 1,000 Mathira Women Choir.
“She was a natural leader who dedicated her time and passion to uplifting women in Mathira,” Gachagua said.
Her influence extended beyond the choir, as she played a key role in various community initiatives.
Muchiru’s leadership helped unite and empower many women in the region.
Her passing has left a huge gap, especially among those she worked closely with.
Gachagua expressed his deepest condolences to her family and the entire Mathira community.
Leaders and residents have also mourned her death, recognizing her significant contributions.
Funeral arrangements are yet to be announced as the family prepares to lay her to rest.
The community continues to pay tribute to a woman whose leadership and dedication will not be forgotten.
