Fears that a stepson will inherit a communal land might have cost Junior Sagini’s eyes.Sagini’s grandmother, Rael, says his aunt Pacifica Nyakerario and her son Ochogo, conspired to kill him to get him out of the lineup for land inheritance.Rael claimed that family members were worried that in case Sagini’s ailing stepfather dies, he is the next in line to take over the family land.
The three-year-old is perceived as an outsider as his mother got him in another marriage.
