Former Jubilee Party secretary general Raphael Tuju has revealed that he met with the late Prof George Magoha on Monday and that there was no single indicator that the celebrated professor was ailing from anything.

Tuju has told the media that he visited the late Professor Magoha at his home in Lavington in Nairobi County, to discuss the funeral arrangements of his late brother, Richard Alex Nyabera.

Tuju was speaking at Prof Magoha’s home on Wednesday when he went to console the family, adding that the sudden death of Prof Magoha left him in great shock

“I did not know that the next time I would be visiting the home would be because of his death,” he said.

What Prof Magoha told him when they met on Monday

The Star reports that Tuju remembered how Prof Magoha told him that he was a little tired after a long day of planning Nyabera’s funeral.

“As a colleague, I am very devastated by the loss. I pray for the family because it is a very difficult time for them,” he added.

Tuju has further noted that the burial of Prof Magoha’s brother will go as they had planned.

He noted that the late Professor Richard Alex Nyabera’s burial will be held on Saturday as had been planned.

Professor Magoha suffered a cardiac arrest on Tuesday evening before he was rushed to the Nairobi Hospital by close family members and his close friends.

Unfortunately, he has pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.

Several leaders have mounted him and eulogized him as a great leader who stood for what he believed in.

May the soul of the late Professor rest in eternal peace.
