As the longtime opposition leader strolled down the streets, some Nairobi citizens did not hesitate to voice their concerns to Raila, the leader of the ODM party.
For the first time since he was rejected for the nation’s top job a record fifth time, Odinga has been seen strolling around Nairobi’s streets.
The former prime minister was flaked closely by Langata Constituency Member of Parliament Felix Odiwuor (Jalas) and his Embakasi East counterpart Babu Owino, according to a video posted on the Citizen Tv office Facebook page. The former prime minister was wearing a blue long-sleeved shirt and white trousers.
As the squad continued to march, voices from the audience could be heard complaining to Raila about the dire economic condition, shouting his famous name “Baba,” and reminding him of the Ksh 6000 he had pledged to give disadvantaged families if he had been elected president.
“Will the price of flour go down, Baba?” As Raila was seen waving back, a sharp voice—possibly that of a middle-aged man—could be heard from the throng.
