A Facebook post by Duke Joseph has sparked an online discussion after he questioned how Platinum Credit Kenya gets teachers’ contacts.

In his post, Duke openly wondered who shares teachers’ phone numbers with the company.

Many teachers have complained in the past about receiving unexpected calls and messages from financial institutions, especially loan providers. Some say the calls come even when they have never applied for a loan or shared their personal details with such companies. This has raised concerns about how private information is being handled.

People online reacted to Duke’s post with mixed feelings. Some agreed with him, saying they also face the same problem, while others suggested that personal data could be leaking from places where teachers submit their details, such as schools, government databases, or even social groups.
