Osoi

Drama unfolded in Nairobi on the night of July 29 after presidential aspirant and former KDF officer Patrick Osoi was arrested by heavily armed detectives and taken into custody.

His sudden detention sparked panic and outrage online, with many supporters demanding his release.According to a statement from Osoi’s communication team, the politician was seized by a group of officers in a dramatic operation and is currently being held at Muthaiga Police Station.

The team claimed that Osoi had been abducted by a heavily armed group and was facing charges related to preparation to commit a felony.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Osoi’s personal assistant Washali Edwin confirmed the arrest and explained that the politician was being taken to the Kahawa Law Courts for arraignment.

Osoi’s arrest came shortly after he announced the formation of the Fighting Brutality and Impunity (FBI) movement, which he said aimed to fight political elitism and police abuse. He launched the initiative together with Cop Shakur and Constable Hiram Kimathi, both of whom are known for resisting transfer orders.

In a strongly worded public message, the group expressed their willingness to face consequences for their actions, stating that they would rather die with dignity and faith in Kenya’s future than live under what they called modern-day slavery and political control.

They insisted that no force could suppress the truth and that no walls could stand against people who refused to bow to oppression.

Osoi’s legal team and supporters are now calling for his immediate release as they await the court’s decision.
