President William Ruto has issued a Monday 14, July 2025 afternoon statement after hosting a delegation of foreign officials in State House, Nairobi.

The Head of State hosted Conservation International CEO M Sanjayan, where they discussed several issues on matters climate change.

This is after the organisation opened their Africa regional headquarters in Nairobi. They took this move as an appreciation of the country’s role on the subject; climate change in the entire Africa.

“Kenya is leading from the front in climate action and environmental conservation efforts because the effects of climate change are no longer matters of conjecture; they are an existential threat to humanity,” Ruto stated in his statement.

“Consequently, Kenya is working with State and non-State partners across the world to mitigate these effects.”

“Met Conservation International CEO M Sanjayan, State House Nairobi. The organisation has opened the Africa regional headquarters in Nairobi in recognition of our country’s leadership role in climate action and conservation,” he added.
