Celebrated NTV Swahili news anchor Fridah Mwaka has opened up about her life, and revealed the little-known detail of how she does not have any smartphone currently.
Unbeknownst to many of her fans, the talented journalist, who previously worked at KTN, is just using a ‘katululu’ (the earlier phones that were manufactured that had buttons before the smartphones were invented) as a mode of communication.
According to Fridah Mwaka, she has been using that for the time being because apparently she has just had some bad luck with every smartphone that she buys.
This is because whenever she decides to get one, something unexpected just happens to it later and then she is forced to stop using it. For example maybe it gets damaged.
Even though she is using a ‘katululu’ currently after being disappointed by the smartphones that she had bought in the past, Fridah Mwaka has not yet given up on the smartphones.
The sassy media personality is still thinking about maybe soon getting another one for herself.
Fridah Mwaka disclosed this in a recent post that she made on her Facebook stories, where she shared a latest photo of her smiling beautifully while posing for a photo.
She then accompanied it with a caption where she said:
“Smiling like I own an iPhone…but it’s a ‘Katululu’ âšī¸ I still need a phone aki…
These gadgets have character developed me more than Nairobi relationships! đ”.
