In the last several hours or so, popular Maasai disk jockey-cum-musician DJ Queen 254 has been trending on Facebook.

This is because of an explosive audio that was recently leaked, that revealed how she seemed not to be very serious about wanting to help her fellow creatives.

 

The audio exposed how DJ Queen 254, who was recently chosen as the chairperson of the Maa Creatives, was planning to hold an online meeting with her team in order to discuss the way forward with regards to them helping the Maa creatives.

DJ Queen 254 actually had the plan of creating a WhatsApp Group for the Maa creatives, which everyone who was a member was going to join.

She also had the plan of allowing the creatives from the various Maa communities i.e the Samburu, Laikipia, Marsabit and Illchamus to choose a representative, so that they do not feel like they were left out.

 

At the end of the audio however, DJ Queen 254 proves that she is not very serious about her plans, because was heard saying that all this was just as a move of fooling her fellow creatives

“Tutawabeba tu mafala” she was heard saying.

The leaked audio however elicited an uproar, with many creatives calling out DJ Queen 254 over such remarks.

 

Popular Maa comedian Sam Sang’ida Mwenyewe took to his Facebook account and said:

“Musicians are their own enemies”.

DJ Queen 254 breaks her silence
After receiving massive backlash on Facebook, DJ Queen 254 has finally broken her silence.

The award-winning deejay actually took to her Facebook account, and penned a lengthy message on which she explained the whole situation.

 

DJ Queen 254 actually started by naming some of the things that she has done to help the creatives from the Maa community, like the Inua Msanii Initiative.

The Melelek hit maker further acknowledged that what she said in the audio was a mistake, and she regretted her actions because her intentions were not to disrespect anyone.

DJ Queen 254 further announced that he had stepped down from the position of the Maa Creatives Chairperson.

 

“I also want to clarify that I have never had a history or character of scamming, disrespecting people or engaging in such behaviour. What happened was a moment of human weakness and poor judgement. I was gaslighted, but I take full responsibility for my words and actions.

Once again, i am truly sorry. I admit my mistakes wholeheartedly, and I promise to learn from this and never put myself in such a situation again.

In light of everything, I have made the decision to step down from my position as the Maa Creatives Chairperson…” DJ Queen 254 said in part.
