Kalenjin musician Vicky Brilliance has finally spoken out following a public fallout with Keiyo South Member of Parliament Gideon Kimaiyo. The dispute arose after the MP shared screenshots of their private chats online and went further to post the singer’s personal phone number on social media.

The incident quickly attracted public attention after Kimaiyo accused the artist of failing to perform at an event despite allegedly receiving a deposit of KSh 50,000. He encouraged the public to send her “greetings,” a move that resulted in her phone being flooded with calls and messages.

Vicky Brilliance has condemned the action, describing it as a serious violation of her privacy. She stated that sharing her personal contact without consent was irresponsible, especially coming from a public official who understands the law. According to the singer, the matter was already being handled by her management team due to her busy performance schedule at the time.

She explained that there had been communication between both sides and an agreement reached on refunding the money. She questioned why the MP chose to take the issue to social media instead of resolving it through proper channels. The artist also raised concerns about whether the payment was officially sent for a performance and whether there was proof to support the claims being made online.

Beyond the financial dispute, Vicky revealed that the situation had escalated to a worrying level. She alleged that she had received threats from individuals linked to the politician, which had caused fear and distress for her and her loved ones. She emphasized that her safety should not be compromised over a disagreement that could have been resolved professionally.
