Celebrated Kenyan actor and filmmaker Abel Mutua has opened up about his life and disclosed to the whole world that he was recently robbed by armed men.
According to the former Tahidi High actor, the scary incident happened on Tuesday night, when he was attacked just few metres from the Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital (KUTRRH) morgue.
The men, who were armed with massive knives, actually forcefully took away the iPhone 16 Pro Max phone that Abel Mutua had, as well as the Bose Headphones that he had.
Despite the fact that he had lost his pricey gadgets, the talented filmmaker was grateful to still be alive today because the robbers spared his life after he did what they wanted.
“Wueh! Sema Kimeumana!!
The young men at Kahawa West walinikaribisha jini jana. iPhone 16 Pro Max gone, Bose Headphones gone as well. But cha muhimu ni despite the massive knives they were carrying, walinibakishia uhai. Ironically they jumped me right across from the KUTRRH morgue. Wangeamua ningeamkia kwa fridge leo 😂😂😂. Wabarikiwe for sparing a life.
Haya! Mtaniruhusu nilale mteja siku kadhaa” Abel Mutua said on his Instagram account.
In another post, the talented filmmaker pleaded with the robbers to send to him a file of a project that he was working on, since it was important to him.
“…My new phone owners mkiona hii please nitumieni hiyo folder iko kwa Notes imeandikwa ‘Stories for 2025/26’ Kuna story ya Gadaffi hapo imeitishwa sana na Wakurugenzi 😂😂😂😂”Abel Mutua said.
