Police have finally identified the officer whose body was discovered near the Lucky Summer Police Station in Kasarani, Nairobi County, on Sunday, June 29.
According to the official report, the deceased has been named as Constable Benjamin Bore, who was attached to the Kariobangi North Police Station. It is reported that Constable Bore had been residing within the police housing quarters located inside the Lucky Summer Police Station compound.
His lifeless body was discovered lying in a drainage culvert just next to the station’s perimeter fence. His neighbour, was the first to spot the body and quickly alerted colleagues, who responded immediately and visited the scene.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the officer’s head appeared to have been placed in an unusual position, and blood was seen oozing from his mouth. However, police ruled out any signs of physical assault, noting that no visible injuries were observed on the body.
At this stage, the circumstances leading to Constable Bore’s death remain unclear. His body was moved to the mortuary as detectives launched investigations to determine what may have caused the tragic incident.
