A family and the National Police Service are mourning after tragedy struck police officer Fred Otieno, leaving him to cope with the loss of almost his entire young family within a short time.
The events began when Otieno’s wife, Louis Aoko Ogony, who was also a police officer, lost her two sons, Brayden and Dylan, in a road accident that also claimed her cousin’s life.
She was the only survivor, and her grief was evident when she was pictured in a wheelchair during the burial of her children.
Later, Aoko faced another tragedy while expecting her third child. She was admitted to hospital for a cesarean section, hoping to welcome a baby girl.
Sadly, what was meant to bring healing to the grieving family ended in sorrow after both mother and child died in hospital.
A postmortem examination revealed blood clots in her liver, lungs, and heart, which caused complications leading to her death.
Friends, relatives, and fellow officers have continued to send messages of comfort to Otieno, describing his suffering as unimaginable.
As Otieno mourns his wife, children, and extended family member, many are standing with him, hoping he finds strength during one of the darkest moments of his life.
