Both Diamond Platnumz and Harmonize reside in opulent villas worth millions of shillings in the upscale Mbezi Beach neighborhood of Dar es Salaam.

The two singers were close friends up until 2019, when Harmonize left Diamond’s Wasafi record label and the two became rivals.

After voicing issues with a 15-year deal he signed with Diamond’s record label, Harmonize formally quit in August 2019.

After only four years, the singer opted to end the agreement because he felt he was not being compensated fairly for his work.

The “Kwangwaru” hitmaker was compelled to provide Wasafi Ksh24 million as compensation for prematurely ending his contract before it had expired.

According to reports, Harmonize was compelled to sell three homes and a plot of land in order to raise the Ksh24 million that Wasafi requested in exchange for quitting the label before the end of his contract.

He was compelled to pay the whole sum so that Diamond’s label would grant him full ownership of the songs he recorded while working for WCB (all of his songs at the time were recorded and produced by Wasafi).

After leaving Wasafi, Harmonize acquired more money and even constructed a sizable villa on Mbezi Beach. The extravagant residence of the singer is known as “Konde Village.”

On 2018, Diamond relocated to a Ksh99 million/Tsh2 billion mega-mansion in Mbezi Beach. He had previously resided in Madale in a home he had constructed from nothing.

A few months before Diamond moved in, the Mbezi beach estate had been listed for sale. The home’s owner, who went by the name OG Lazaro, was asking Ksh99 million for it.

According to reports, Diamond purchased the home in 2018 and moved in. The home has five ensuite bedrooms, a swimming pool, and a large parking lot, among other facilities.
