Pastor Pius Muiru on Wednesday morning joined former Cabinet Minister Henry Kosgey and his family at Lee Funeral Home in Nairobi as they began final journey for the send-off of late Matriarch.The family gathered in a solemn atmosphere as family and friends came together to offer prayers and support during the emotional moment.
After the visit to the funeral home, the body was moved for a prayer service at Maximum Miracle Centre, where family members sought spiritual comfort, strength ahead of the burial arrangements.
Speaking through a message shared on social media, Kosgey’s son Kigen expressed gratitude to those who have stood with the family during their time of grief.
He noted that the family was headed to the church for prayers in honour of their beloved mother, asking for God’s comfort, peace, and strength as they celebrated her life and legacy.
Family also thanked Kenyans who have continued to send messages of condolence, prayers, and encouragement since the passing of their loved one.He offered words of encouragement to the grieving family, urging them to remain strong in faith and to trust in God’s plan during difficult period of mourning.
The Kosgey family continues to receive support from leaders, friends, and members of the public as they navigate this period of deep loss.
As per the funeral details provided by the family, Mama Zipporah Kosgey’s burial is scheduled for Friday, June 19th, at the family’s residence in Kipkoror, where she will be laid to rest.
Her body is anticipated to arrive at the family home on Thursday, June 18th, when relatives and friends will convene for prayers, companionship, and a vigil in her memory while final arrangements are made.
