Pastor Victor Kanyari has sparked an online conversation after displaying portraits of his late ex-wife, Betty Bayo, alongside images of their children in his office. In a heartfelt video shared on social media, Kanyari explained why he continues to cherish these memories despite the challenges in his family life.
Kanyari and gospel artist Betty Bayo were married early in their careers, but their union ended in 2015. Betty later remarried Hiram Gitau, popularly known as Tash, and continued raising the children she had with Kanyari. Tragically, she passed away on November 10, leaving both families and fans shocked and grieving.
In the video, Kanyari addressed those who have questioned why he appears to hold onto his past with such affection. While gently arranging the framed photos, he reaffirmed his love for Betty and his deep bond with their two children, Danny and Sky. He described them with warmth and a father’s pride.
In a revelation that surprised many, Kanyari also confirmed that he has a third child, born around the same time as his firstborn but with another woman. He said he plans to introduce her to the public and eventually hopes they can all be part of his life together. “There aren’t many of us,” he said, referring to his children. “But I cherish them all. When the time comes, I will ask their mother to allow my youngest to come live with me.”
The pastor has also been involved in ongoing discussions over the custody of his older children, with tensions reported between him and Tash following Betty’s death. He revealed that he has another daughter, around the same age as Sky, but he has not yet unveiled her face to the public. Currently, he has yet to introduce her, leaving many curious about when this will happen.
