A family of a businessman who was abducted a day ago is pleading with the authorities to help find their kin.
The man was driving home while in the company of a friend when a car blocked the road. Two men alighted and ordered the duo out of the vehicle.
The incident happened on Wednesday, March 19, at attack Modika area in Garissa County.
According to sources, the attackers armed with guns jumped out of their car and dragged the duo from their vehicle and started assaulting them.
After the attack, the gunmen took control of victims’ car and drove off towards Somalia border. Upon arrival at the Lapset Road area, the assailiants abandoned the friend and disappeared with the businessman.
Hours days later no one knows the whereabouts of the businessman. The family says they had not received any news from his kidnappers.
This incident adds to the growing list of people who have been abducted in the country under unclear circumstances with investigations into the cases remaining unresolved.
