Tana River Senator Danson Mungatana today has made a chilling confession about his past life that grounded him financially.He got himself involved in a get-rich quick business by an alleged witch doctor.The legislature told Magistrate Benmark Ekhubi that he sold all his properties and gave the money to Abdoulaye Tamba Kouro who lied to him that he would get more returns once he invested.
The Star has reported that Mungatana lost Ksh 76M to Kouro with intent to defraud him.He mortgaged his house in Karen Nairobi where his family leaved.He has revealed that this was his biggest investment he has made in his life and his late wife never new about this.
Mungatana has revealed that he met Kouro through someone called Mohammed Amin who promised to help him to invest his money.He first started with a half a million and got return of Ksh 1 million.The deal slowly got sweeter after which he opted for bigger amounts of money.He finally ended up losing the said huge sum of money.The court is yet to make the verdict.
