Former nominated Senator Hon Gloria Orwoba has reacted through her official Facebook page after reports alleging that MPs did not show up today in the National Assembly.
“You pressure your Members to pass a controversial Finance Bill persuading them that within 6 months they will see the good in it. Within a day Parliament is invaded their houses and businesses are burnt down and their families are threatened. You then Isolate them in those few days of chaos, no picking phone calls, no communication”. Said Hon. Gloria Orwoba.
According to reports deputy speaker Gladys Shollei adjourns today’s National Assembly morning session to 2:30 pm after MPs fail to show up.
“You throw them under the bus by telling the public you have now seen the negatives in the bill the MPs wanted to pass and you withdraw it. You take in Raila through the back door
Despite your MPs warning you against this, Raila helps you impeach your Deputy and punish his followers, sidelining further a whole community”. Hon. Gloria Orwoba added.
The reports that MPs did not show up today in the National Assembly is not yet clear if they are angry and responding to president William Ruto’s corruption remarks.
“You replace your squad which stood by you during your persecution with Raila’s squad in all matters, from executive to business dealings to decision making
You then start lecturing and threatening the MPs about not dancing to the tune of Raila
The majority leader, your former right hand man, your ride or die is put on the chopping board”. Said Hon. Gloria Orwoba added.
“Your State House Boys then start planning an impeachment of the speaker of the National Assembly so that his position can be handed over to Baba.
Mr. President, I am no veteran politician, but you are going to be impeached faster than you impeached your Deputy. Maybe that is the slaughter house that you are being led to.
