Kasipul MP Charles Were Ong’ondo is currently the subject of discussion on social media, especially after he was shot to death by an unknown man in Nairobi County. After the incident, video of the politician speaking about his assassination emerged on social media, and many asked the authorities to find his killers.
On the night of his death, the MP felt unsafe, as he changed the car he was using and opted to used a white Toyota camry. After leaving the parliament buildings, he headed to an Mpesa shop where his bodyguard deposited money before they headed to their destination.
Unfortunately, when their car reached the city mortuary roundabout, his killer jumped from the motorbike and immediately fired shots at him. According to his bodyguard, he failed to protect the MP as the shootings caught him unawares.
He further noted that he had to take cover before disembarking from the car to pursue the attackers who sped off after completing their mission. Despite of taking the politician to the hospital, he was pronounced dead upon arrival. May his soul rest in peace.
