Arsenal and French outfit PSG have been pitted against each other in the semi-finals of the Champions League that will kick off next week at the Emirates on Tuesday. Needless to say, victory for either side in both ties would be another significant step towards a first taste of Champions League final football in the last decade. Luis Enrique is considered the underdog in the tie following Arsenal 2-0 over his side during the UCL group phase.
“I think Arsenal are one of the best teasing Europe at the moment. With the ball they are team close to the very top of European football, and without the ball they are also very good. I would even say they are the best team in the world without the ball. They are a team with real identity. We are similar to them but we have a different playing style,” said the PSG Manager.
PSG are currently unbeaten in the French League this season and have already been crowned French Champions with league coming to it’s tail end. In the Champions League they have managed to knock out big teams like Liverpool and Aston Villa, which is quite a feat.
Arsenal on the other hand have fallen short, for the third time, in the Premier League race to Liverpool. In the Champions League however, they have been a force to reckon with as they have knocked out PSV and Real Madrid in emphatic style.
Pundits are currently between a rock and a hard place predicting who between the two will go through. Either could definitely win the Champions League for the first time in their history if they overcome Barca or Inter Milan in the finals.
