Oga Obinna once opened up about a misunderstanding he had with comedy veteran Daniel Ndambuki following a joint media production that briefly led to tension over interview footage.

According to Obinna, the two met at Eka Hotel where they recorded content for each other’s platforms. He first featured on Churchill’s My Story show, and later hosted Churchill on his own YouTube show, Kula Cooler. The collaboration initially went smoothly, with both sides recording using Churchill’s production equipment.

However, after the shoot, a disagreement emerged when Churchill suggested that his interview segment should be re recorded at a later time when he was more relaxed. Obinna, however, felt the original recording was already strong and inspiring, and preferred to keep it as it was.

The situation escalated when Obinna needed access to the recorded footage to publish on his platform. Since the content had been captured using Churchill’s production team and equipment, he had to request it through them. Days passed without response, and communication eventually broke down.

Frustrated, Obinna went directly to the production offices at Garden City, Nairobi, where he was reportedly denied access to the footage. He was informed that he had been instructed not to be given the material, which led to further tension between the parties.

In response, Obinna stated that he would also block airing of Churchill’s episode on his platform. Despite the disagreement, he later discovered that his interview had already been aired, contrary to his expectations.

Churchill later stepped in after being informed of the issue and reportedly directed his team to pull down the episode. The matter was eventually resolved, though it exposed a brief fallout centered on trust, communication, and content ownership between the two media personalities.
