Celebrated Kenyan comedian and media personality Dr. Ofweneke has today been spotted openly crying foul on social media.
This is because one of the viral videos that he had posted some few weeks ago on his YouTube channel has now unfortunately been taken down by the platform.
The said video is actually of a viral interview that Dr. Ofweneke did on Sarah Kabu alias Sarah Mtalii, of the lessons that she had learnt in life after turning 30.
It can be remembered that at the time, Sarah Kabu revealed that one of the lessons that she had learnt was not to trust people too much.
This is because she came to discover that her estranged husband Simon Kabu had actually transferred 80% to 90% of the properties that they bought together under his daughter’s name, amidst their ongoing divorce.
Sarah Kabu also opened up about more little-known details touching on her failed marriage to Simon Kabu, something that left many people talking.
Fresh details that have emerged now have however revealed that the video was taken down from YouTube because Simon Kabu had taken legal action. He complained of being defamed.
In his response however, Dr. Ofweneke cried foul because he claimed that he never even mentioned Simon Kabu in the interview, or said some things that would harm him.
The comedian, who is also a presenter at Radio 47, further revealed that he had given instructions to his legal team to appeal the decision, because he felt that the video was taken down unfairly.
“…I do believe that my team and I are at no fault after exploring our legal grounds i.e
1. We didn’t host BONFIRE ADVENTURES, we hosted SARAH MTALII
2. As stipulated on the text message on matters defamation, Dr. Ofweneke and the brand didn’t mention anything concerning Simon Kabu.
3. In today’s world online media also equally enjoys rights of expressions…” the statement by Dr. Ofweneke read in part.
