ODM Party elected MP Caleb Amisi has warned those busy backing the government of President William Ruto under the broad-based arrangements.
In a strongly worded post on Twitter, the Saboti legislator claimed there is a calculated plan to secure a post-2027 power grab through a forced runoff scenario, ultimately benefiting Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
“The plan is in place. Field many candidates to ensure a runoff, then negotiate with Gachagua who will be penniless but with more than enough MPs elected on his party,” Amisi wrote, implying a future alliance would return ODM to the opposition.
Amisi further cautioned that the only democratic way to defeat what he called an unpopular regime was to ensure only two presidential candidates on the 2027 ballot—the incumbent and a united opposition challenger.
He warned that the appearance of more than three contenders would signal doom: “Apply binomial expansion theorem; stay hell on earth or seek a permanent visa elsewhere.”
