A resident of Nyeri County, where the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua hails from, has petitioned the deputy president to abandon his call for the implementation of the one man one vote one shilling agenda temporarily and focus on the Finance Bill 2024.
In the video, the man who introduces himself as Senator Mwangi, states that the proposed Finance Bill which is to be tabled in Parliament on Tuesday is punitive to Kenyans and it should be rejected in totality.
As he is uniting Mt Kenya region in the name of championing for their rights and organising them politically after listening to their plight, Mwangi challenged Gachagua to come out openly and oppose Finance Bill if he truly means what he says.
The controversial Bill contains tax proposals that will overburden Kenyans in case it will be implemented.
The Deputy President of recent has been going around the country especially Mt Kenya region preaching agenda that is against the government he is serving.
He stated that he is listening to the ground and that Kenyans are not happy. However, Kenyans have read hypocrisy into his recent behaviour asking him to oppose the Finance Bill if he truly means what he says.
