Detectives probing the murder of Reverend Julius Ndumia from PCEA Tabuga Parish in Lanet, Nakuru County, have arrested two suspects.
The DCI made the arrest after tracing signals from a stolen mobile phone that is believed to have belonged to the deceased clergyman.
Officers monitored the movements of one of the phones that was taken during the fatal assault at the church premises last week.
This device reportedly guided detectives to two men who are currently under interrogation regarding the murder of the clergyman.
Following the attack, the assailants allegedly looted the reverend’s residence and fled with numerous valuables, including mobile phones, electronic devices, and cash.
Law enforcement officials stated that phone tracking technology was instrumental in pinpointing the suspects.
One individual was reportedly detained while in possession of a mobile phone associated with the late reverend, while the second suspect was arrested later during a subsequent operation.
Investigators are now working to determine whether the two suspects acted independently or were part of a larger criminal organization engaged in violent robberies in the vicinity.
