President William Ruto’s frequent international trips have sparked fresh jokes among some Kenyans, with one woman humorously comparing him to an air hostess.
In a video shared by an opposition blogger, the woman mocked the President’s overseas travels, claiming he has visited destinations including the United States, Italy and South Korea several times within the past month.
She jokingly suggested that the title of President should be replaced with “air hostess” because of the frequency of his foreign trips.
“Our President reminds me of an air hostess,” she said, drawing laughter from the audience. She went on to make another humorous comparison involving passengers and the President.
The remarks come amid continued public discussion over Ruto’s international travels and the costs and benefits associated with presidential trips abroad.
The President has also been given the nickname “Zakayo” by some Kenyans, particularly in reference to criticism surrounding government taxation and proposed Finance Bills.
