Life has not been easy for Faith Wanjiru, a woman who once graced television screens on KBC.

In a video that has been widely shared online, the former actress is seen appealing for support from Nairobi leader Geoffrey Mosiria. She says she needs help to take her son to a rehabilitation centre.

Faith who resides in Kawangware says her son finished his studies at the university. It was a proud moment for her as a mother. However after graduation he started struggling with alcohol and drug abuse and his life took a different direction.

Speaking with emotion, Faith explained that she has tried everything within her ability to bring him back to normal. She has moved from place to place seeking assistance but the situation has only become harder.

She also opened up about her own health challenges. Faith disclosed that she is suffering from a condition related to high blood pressure which affects her movement and makes it difficult to keep searching for help. She added that she currently has no stable source of income even though she still has acting talent that she developed since the early nineties.

During the video she said she worked on KBC programmes in 1992 and she still has skills but lacks capital to start anything.

The clip which was posted by Dallas Media on TikTok has attracted many reactions. Many social media users expressed sympathy and urged Mosiria to come to her aid. Others said they relate to her pain as parents.

Faith is now hoping that well wishers will hear her cry and help her son get treatment so that he can rebuild his life.
