However, a recent video has stirred public debate after showing a man named Ajwang’ Aminda performing a strange act at Raila’s grave. Aminda, an aide to Kisumu Senator Tom Ojienda, was filmed late at night holding a lit candle and appearing to speak to the late leader’s spirit.
In the video, he addressed Raila by his traditional name and claimed to be seeking spiritual guidance regarding who should become the next Kisumu governor.
Aminda later claimed that Raila’s spirit had endorsed Ojienda for the 2027 election. This incident sparked widespread reactions online, with many expressing disbelief and criticizing the act as disrespectful.
