A night out turned tragic at VVIP Rooftop Club after a performer was allegedly killed during a confrontation with the club’s security team.
Wilberforce Kisia, a popular dancer and digital content creator, reportedly died following a violent encounter with bouncers at the venue.
According to preliminary information, an argument is said to have erupted between Kisia and the guards before he was forcefully taken to a backroom, where he was allegedly beaten and fatally strangled.
His mother, Joyce Kavai, has publicly spoken out, demanding accountability and answers regarding the circumstances surrounding her son’s death.
“My child is gone. They took his life, and I don’t know why,” she said. “No one has come forward to explain what really happened. I just want justice.” Joyce confirmed in a statement.
Police have since opened an investigation into the incident. The security personnel involved have been arrested and are currently cooperating with detectives.
A postmortem examination has confirmed that Kisia was physically assaulted and died as a result of strangulation.
This heartbreaking event comes amid growing concern over a spate of violent deaths in the country, many involving young individuals. Several recent cases have also implicated organized groups or rogue security actors.
