Nayianoi Ntutu, the widow of the late Emurua Dikirr Member of Parliament Johana Ngeno, has publicly identified the man seen with her in viral photos after widespread online speculation about their relationship.
The controversy began after Nayianoi shared photos from her visit to Barcelona, Spain, where she was photographed at the Barça Cafe near the famous Palau Blaugrana stadium.
Because the man’s face was not clearly visible in the images, social media users and several bloggers quickly claimed he was her new romantic partner.As the rumours gained momentum, Nayianoi broke her silence through her Instagram account.
She urged people to stop making false assumptions about her private life and clarified that the man in the photographs was her brother, Kantet Ntutu.
Her statement brought an end to the speculation that had spread widely across social media platforms.
Since the death of Johana Ngeno in a helicopter crash in February, Nayianoi has remained a subject of public interest. The couple married in August 2018 and had two daughters together before the tragic accident that claimed the legislator’s life.
She also comes from a well-known political family in Narok County.Her father is Livingstone Ole Ntutu, while Narok Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu, former Senator Stephen Ole Ntutu and Narok South Member of Parliament Kitilai Ole Ntutu are close relatives.
Following her husband’s death, some community leaders encouraged her to contest the Emurua Dikirr parliamentary seat and continue his political legacy.
However, she declined the proposal and instead supported David Keter, who contested the seat on a United Democratic Alliance ticket.
Nayianoi later secured a three-year appointment to the board of the Information and Communication Technology Authority, a role that has kept her in the public spotlight.
This is not the first time her personal life has attracted public attention. Previous photos from trips to Qatar and Tanzania also generated debate online.
Her latest response, however, makes it clear that she expects the public to distinguish between facts and unfounded speculation before drawing conclusions about her private life.
