Irungu

Jowie Irungu requested to be granted monetary bail in a court of law petition that he filed today. As per the report, Jowie contends that since financial bail is guaranteed under the Kenyan constitution, it is his entitlement as a Kenyan citizen. Jowie shockingly claims that the Kenyan constitution was broken because it is against the law to execute someone there.

Through his attorney, Jowie is requesting that the Kenyan government, namely Attorney Justin Muturi’s office, cover the cost of his bail because they are the ones who need to be defending and making sure the Kenyan constitution is upheld. Jowie further requests that the Criminal Procedure Code’s Section 379(4) be deemed illegal since it did not adequately safeguard him.
