A 62-year-old man, Julius Ouru, has tragically lost his life in a gruesome attack allegedly carried out by his son, Frankline Stima Ouru, in Siaya County.
The horrifying incident occurred after a domestic dispute reportedly linked to Stima’s wife, who is said to have played a role in the killing and is currently on the run.
According to preliminary reports, the altercation escalated violently, with Stima attacking his father using a panga before setting his body ablaze using plastic materials.
The chilling details have left the community in shock, as residents try to come to terms with the brutal nature of the crime.
Stima’s brother revealed that they have long lived in fear of him, describing him as a persistent threat to the family.
“We always sleep together in one house for safety. He steals from us and is unpredictable,” he said.
Police have launched a manhunt for both Stima and his wife, who fled the scene following the murder.
Authorities have urged anyone with information on their whereabouts to come forward.
