Selestine Nyagah Kivuma, known to many Kenyans as Neema from the popular drama series on Citizen TV, lives a vibrant life both on and off the screen. Born on May 8, 1996, she was raised in Mombasa in a humble and close-knit family. Her upbringing blended Kikuyu and Swahili cultures, thanks to her roots on the Kenyan coast. Growing up, her parents ran small businesses to make ends meet, which taught her the value of hard work early on.

Off camera, Selestine is a loving wife and mother. She’s married to a businessman who’s often referred to as a city tycoon,and together they are raising their beautiful daughter, Amani, who is around eight years old now. Family is at the heart of everything she does, and she’s known for being deeply grounded, loyal, and devoted to her loved ones.

Her passion for acting began back in secondary school, and by 2017 while studying Mass Communication at the Technical University of Mombasa she landed her first television role in the show pete, where she played the character “Nuru.” That was the stepping stone that led her to where she is today, captivating audiences as Neema.

Beyond acting, Selestine wears many hats. She once owned a small food joint that sold tilapia and ugali, showing her entrepreneurial side. She’s also built a strong online presence as a model, brand influencer, and content creator. Her social media is full of uplifting messages, moments from her day-to-day life, and encouragement for young girls pursuing education and independence.
