Kenyan singer Masauti has opened up about the artists he enjoys working with most, revealing that Nadia Mukami tops the list as his best musical partner so far.
During an appearance on a local podcast on Monday, October 13, 2025, the Chini Chini crooner spoke fondly of Nadia’s creativity and their undeniable chemistry in the studio. He described their sessions as effortless and full of positive energy, often resulting in outstanding songs.
“Nadia wa kwanza, Khaligraph… sana sana Nadia. Tukifanya kitu huwa inatokea tu kali. Hata kuna zingine hazijatoka, kali zote! Alafu tuna ka-smart, tukifanya kitu inatokea,” Masauti said during the interview.
He went on to explain that their musical connection flows naturally because they both share a strong passion for excellence. According to Masauti, the secret behind their success lies in their mutual respect and drive to create timeless music.
The singer also gave credit to some of Kenya’s top producers, including Kailo and Motif, for helping shape his sound and keeping the quality of his music consistent.
“Kuna producer anaitwa Kailo, lakini tukifanya kitu kinatokea kitu kizuri, pia Motif na wengine. Napenda kufanya kazi na watu tofauti,” he added.
Masauti emphasized that collaborating with different artists and producers across genres allows him to grow creatively and stay versatile.
This revelation comes shortly after the singer addressed claims suggesting he had grown inactive or lazy in the music scene. Speaking in a radio interview on Thursday, September 18, 2025, Masauti acknowledged Khaligraph Jones’ remarks about his inconsistency but firmly denied being lazy.
“Yes, I saw that Khaligraph said I have talent but I’m not consistent. That’s true, but everyone moves at their own pace. I’ve been dealing with personal matters that slowed me down, but that doesn’t mean I’m lazy,” he clarified.
Masauti maintained that every artist has their own journey and timing, adding that while he may not always be active online, he continues to focus on his music behind the scenes.
