Wa Iria

The family of former Murang’a Governor Mwangi Wa Iria has recently been thrown into deep mourning after losing one of their members.

The one who died is actually the grandmother of Rachael Wanja, who is the daughter of Mwangi Wa Iria.

Rachael Wanja is actually the one who disclosed the unfortunate news, and she did so via a post that she made on her Instagram account on Tuesday, the 24th of February.

The sassy queen penned a lengthy, albeit heartwarming message through which she paid a lovely tribute to her late grandmother.

Rachael Wanja appreciated her grandmother for how she used to used to pray for them since they were young, and then she admitted that she will indeed miss her a lot now that she is dead.

“My beautiful grandma has gone to be with her Maker.

In the last year, we embarked on a prayer journey, and just a week after she confirmed it had been answered, it feels like she simply said, mission accomplished…and rested.

From as young as five years old, she was the first person I ever saw wake up at 3 a.m to pray. Back then, I didn’t understand what it meant, but now I do. She carried a prophetic calling and was a prayer warrior par excellence. Oh, how she will be missed 🥹.

Today, I am comforted by the words of Apostle Paul in 1 Thessalonians 4:13 that we do not mourn like those who have no hope, but with the assurance that those who sleep in the Lord will be brought with Him at His coming.

Shosh, We shall be together by the Lord’s side in eternity 🙏.

Indeed you have fought a good fight, finished the race and kept the faith.

Rest well, Maitu Wa Wambui na Karobia. I love you 🤍” she said.

Rachael Wanja further accompanied the message with some photos that she and the family took with her late grandmother when she was still alive.

From the photos, it was clear that the grandmother indeed loved to hang out with her family members.
