The Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi today held a high level meeting with Assistant USA Trade Representative for Africa Constance Hamilton and his deputy, Bennett Haman. During the meeting, various issues related to trade as well as food security situation that is currently affecting the country were discussed.

“I held a meeting with the Assistant USA Trade Representative for Africa Constance Hamilton and his deputy, Bennett Haman. We discussed among other issues the progress of the US-Kenya strategic trade and investment partnership and other areas of priority cooperation like the current food security situation in the country.” Musalia Mudavadi has stated.

The Prime CS added that Kenya and the United States have a long beneficial economic relationship that has seen the two countries partner on many fronts.

Among other government officials who were present in the meeting include the CS for Trade Hon. Moses Kuria and the PS for Trade & Enterprise Development Amb. Johnson Weru. The National Assembly’s Trade Committee members Hon Beatrice Adagala and Hon Marianne Jebet Kitany also attended the meeting.
