Mumias East Member of Parliament Peter Kalerwa Salasya has once again caught the attention of Kenyans after introducing his newborn daughter on social media.
In his post, the youthful MP revealed that the baby girl is now five weeks old. He proudly said that the child closely resembles him, something that amused many of his followers online.
Salasya warmly welcomed his daughter, describing her as “destined for greatness,” showing his excitement and pride in becoming a father again.
However, what surprised many people even more was not just the introduction of the baby, but the MP’s bold statement about his future family plans.
Salasya openly shared that he hopes to have a very large family. According to him, his dream is to have at least 12 children. He also stated that he would like to marry between three to five wives in the future.
In his own words, he described himself as “naturally polygamous,” making it clear that he supports a traditional style of marriage.
“My heart desires to have at least 12 children and at least three wives to five wives. I’m a polygamous man naturally,” he wrote in the post.
This is not the first time the MP has spoken about his growing family. Just a few months ago, he introduced other children to the public.
In June 2025, he welcomed a baby boy, and later in December 2025, he introduced another daughter named Ameeliah Reign Kalerwa.
With the arrival of his new baby girl, Salasya’s family continues to grow quickly, something that has sparked a lot of discussion among Kenyans online.
Reactions on social media have been mixed. Some people have supported him, saying his views reflect African traditions where large families and polygamy are accepted.
Others, however, have expressed shock and concern over how fast his family is expanding, as well as his plans to marry multiple wives.
