EALA member of parliament, Winnie Odinga, has expressed concern after a politician was dewhipped from their position for being on stage with her at a rally in Kibra.
Winnie, who was speaking during an interview on Citizen TV Kenya, said that she decided to speak up after ODM leadership failed to acknowledge her concern.
EALA MP Winnie Odinga said, “People are being intimidated in ODM. People are being dewhipped for showing up on stage with me.”
She alleged that some of these people are being excluded from meetings by individuals who are allegedly hell-bent on an agenda.
She affirmed that Dr. Oburu Odinga is the best person to be the party’s leader, adding that an NDC meeting will be conducted and the right thing must be done.
Meanwhile, Dr. Oburu has said that the party is going to remain in the broad-based government. He called on Kenyans to register as voters and vote for their preferred candidates in the upcoming general elections in Kenya.
According to Dr. Oburu, ODM will either be in government or in a coalition with a party that will form the government, adding that they will not go back to the streets.
Oburu also slammed individuals whom he said have been attending meetings where decisions are made, only to say the opposite in public.
