Ndindi nyor

According to available sources of news, Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro has officially shaken up the political landscape by announcing his departure from President William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA).

Addressing the media, the lawmaker has made it clear that his relationship with the current administration has reached a dead end, citing major disagreements over how the country’s economic affairs are being managed.

For weeks, Nyoro’s growing criticisms of government policies signaled a deepening rift, but his latest remarks solidify the breakup.

Addressing his political future, the MP noted that his recent actions and public stances speak for themselves, proving that he can no longer defend or support the current administration’s trajectory.

“There’s no way you can do what I have been doing when you are supporting the government,” Nyoro has stated, emphasizing that the disconnect between his vision and the state’s economic direction made his continued stay in UDA untenable.

Rather than jumping immediately into a new political outfit, the Kiharu legislator is choosing to play a calculated game.

He has asked his supporters for a bit of patience, noting that deciding on a new political home is a weighty matter that requires deep reflection and cannot be rushed overnight.

However, the wait won’t be long. Nyoro revealed that he plans to unveil his next political party within the next three to four weeks.

This upcoming choice will serve as his official vehicle as he aligns his strategy ahead of the high-stakes 2027 general election.

As one of Mount Kenya’s most vocal leaders, Nyoro’s exit from the ruling party is bound to trigger a realignment of alliances. All eyes are now on the lawmaker to see which direction he steers his political ship next.
