Nairobi County Chief Officer for Citizen Engagement and Customer Service, Geoffrey Mosiria, has revisited the moment he helped transform the life of Isaac Otesa, popularly known as Goliath wa Bungoma, who was on the brink of despair.

Mosiria shared a heartwarming video on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, capturing Goliath recounting how he overcame a low point in his life.

In the clip, Goliath detailed that media personality Oga Obinna had advised him to return to Bungoma after an interview, claiming he would not succeed in Nairobi.

“This is how I rescued this man, and he is very grateful!” Mosiria captioned the video, highlighting his role in Goliath’s turnaround.

Despite being disheartened by Obinna’s words, Goliath expressed gratitude and wished the media personality success, sharing that he ultimately achieved what Obinna had doubted he could.

The aspiring personality revealed that, following the discouraging advice, he planned to go back home but lacked the funds for transport.

Stranded at Afya Centre, Goliath recorded a video that soon went viral and caught Mosiria’s attention. Mosiria then reached out to Goliath and requested a meeting that would change the trajectory of his life.

Through his intervention, the county officer provided guidance, support, and encouragement, helping Goliath regain hope and pursue his ambitions in Nairobi.

Goliath’s story is a testament to how timely support and mentorship can turn despair into opportunity, and he continues to express gratitude for Mosiria’s pivotal role in his journey.

The encounter has since resonated with many online, serving as a reminder that a single act of kindness or guidance can have life-altering consequences, especially for those at their lowest point.

Goliath’s rise from despair underscores the importance of mentorship, empathy, and community support in helping individuals realize their potential.
