Morin Actress opened her clothing shop in 2025, marking an exciting chapter in her entrepreneurial journey.
To celebrate the launch, she invited her then-closest friends, Mylee Stacey and Carol Sonnie, to a luncheon at the boutique.
The gathering, however, took an unexpected turn when her friends pranked her. In a playful but hurtful jest, they claimed that the quality of her merchandise was poor and suggested that a wealthy “sponsor” had financed the business, undermining Morin’s hard work and effort to establish the shop.
The prank deeply affected Morin, who took to social media to defend herself. She explained that she had poured her energy, time, and resources into setting up the boutique, expressing disappointment at the “fake” and unsupportive behaviour of friends she had trusted.
The incident highlighted the emotional challenges of starting a business, especially when personal relationships intersect with professional endeavors.
A year later, Morin made the difficult decision to close the shop. She shared a video on TikTok showing herself removing price tags, packing clothes into sacks, and uninstalling fittings as she prepared to shut down the store.
In the video, she wrote: “Endings are new beginnings,” capturing both her sadness and hope for the future. The closure sparked an outpouring of support from netizens, many of whom empathized with her journey.
In response to one comment, Morin reflected, “Even God knew that I had tried,” demonstrating her resilience despite the emotional toll of ending the business.
Social media users shared varied reactions. Joy Joeh expressed empathy with the phrase, “Feeling the same, wacha tu niajiriwe.”
Asey Blesie noted pricing challenges but offered condolences: “The pricing was high considering the availability of the same items all over. Pole though.”
Others, like Ulma Asanda, gave practical advice, emphasizing the importance of capital and partnering with like-minded individuals when starting a business.
Morin’s story reflects the highs and lows of entrepreneurship: the excitement of launching a dream, the strain of managing criticism, and the courage to close a chapter when circumstances demand.
While her clothing business has ended, the lessons she gained and the support from fans highlight that every ending can indeed be a new beginning.
