Morara

In a bold move on Thursday, September 19, renowned lawyer and activist Morara Kebaso ignited political intrigue by proposing a name for his much-anticipated political party: Injection of National Justice, Economic, and Civic Transformation (INJECT) Party. Through a statement released on his social media X account, Morara revealed the name, leaving the public to decide its fate.

To encourage democratic participation, Morara initiated an online poll offering two simple options: “I support” or “I oppose.” With the future of his political brand hanging in the balance, he invited Kenyans to voice their opinions on whether INJECT truly captures the essence of the political change he envisions.

But the name wasn’t the only thing on offer. Morara also suggested party colors, proposing green to symbolize fresh growth and gold to signify a prosperous future.

However, his announcement did not come without controversy. Just a day earlier, political activist Mercy Tarus accused Morara of appropriating her popular “Kenya ni Home Initiative” for personal gain. Tarus claims Morara sought her advice and is now using it to shape his party’s image.
