Kenyan influencer Triza Njeri has fired back at a blogger who compared her to her co-wife, Carol Kim, in a post that sparked heated online reactions.
The drama began when a video from one of Triza’s TikTok livestreams showed her hat being blown away by the wind, briefly revealing her shaved head. This was the first time fans had seen her without her signature turban or hat, which she has always worn in line with her Akorino faith.
Soon after, blogger Duncan Ndung’u shared a side-by-side image of Triza and Carol Kim, Karangu Muraya’s second wife, accompanied by a caption that appeared to pit the two women against each other. He even implied that Karangu’s decision to marry again could be linked to their looks.
The post did not sit well with Triza. Taking to the comments, she demanded the blogger remove her picture, stating that she was not his wife and warning him against disrespectful comparisons. “Remove my photo. I’m not your wife,” she wrote sharply.
Although the blogger eventually deleted the post, the incident reignited online chatter. Some fans encouraged Triza to embrace modern hairstyles, while others praised her for staying true to her cultural and religious identity despite public pressure.
Triza, who rose to fame after her public fallout with Karangu, has since made it clear that the viral moment will not make her abandon the turban.
In a light-hearted jab, she also hinted that her estranged husband was secretly pleased about the incident’s publicity. The controversy has kept Triza firmly in the spotlight, proving once again that in Kenya’s celebrity scene, even a gust of wind can set off a storm.
