Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu has opened up about her current co-parenting arrangement with Mugithi singer Samidoh, revealing that the two no longer communicate with each other directly.

Nyamu said communication between them is handled through her personal assistant and driver, despite the fact that they share children.

Speaking during an interview with radio personality Alex Mwakideu, shared on TikTok on Friday, August 7, Nyamu described her co-parenting arrangement as unusual.

“Co-parenting yangu ni very funny. I have two baby daddies. Niko na watoto watatu. Nilipata mmoja before akuwe 11 years. Hio naifanya direct. Hii ingine bado sijaanza kuifanya direct. Communication line iko through dereva wangu na PA wangu. Mimi na ex wangu hatuzungumzi,” she said.

Nyamu also reflected on the end of her relationship with Samidoh, describing it as one of the easiest breakups she has experienced, although she admitted that it was painful.

According to the senator, their relationship did not end following a major disagreement or confrontation. Instead, both parties gradually accepted that they needed to go their separate ways.

“It is probably my easiest breakup. Not because it did not hurt, but because ilihappen sisi wote tulikuwa tushakubali,” she explained.

Nyamu said there was no formal breakup conversation between them and that the decision was something she had thought about for a long time.

“We did not have a conversation ya breakup, we did not fight. Ni kitu ambayo nilifikiria sana, lakini ni kitu ambayo nilikuwa nataka tuseparate, but haikuwa rahisi,” she added.

Her relationship with Samidoh, who is married to Edday Nderitu, has attracted considerable public attention over the years.

Despite the end of their romantic relationship, Nyamu indicated that they remain connected through their children. For now, however, she prefers to keep direct communication between herself and her former partner at a distance, relying on her trusted aides to facilitate matters concerning their children.
